I love cinnamon buns and I cannot lie!
The perfect weekend bake, I used my Monkey Bread recipe, posted last year to make these Old-fashioned Sticky Cinnamon Buns
Sticky Cinnamon Buns
Dough
4 cups cake flour
2 eggs
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 cup milk
125g butter
1 sachet instant yeast
In a bowl of a stand mixer mix the flour, eggs, sugar, cinnamon & vanilla essence. Heat up the milk & butter. Add the instant yeast and whisk. Add the yeast/milk mixture to the flour and mix. Knead the dough for 7 min. Allow to rest for 1 hour or until double in size.
Caramel
1 1/2 cups sugar
3/4 cup cream
1 tsp vanilla essence
1115g butter
Make a caramel with the above and set aside.
Assemble
melted butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 Tblsp ground cinnamon
100g chopped pecans
Flip the pan over after 10 min.
